Great question. Biodigital convergence is one of the more interesting frontiers in security. Connected medical devices, AI-driven biotechnology, genomic data, and brain-computer interfaces all introduce risks that traditional cybersecurity wasn't originally designed to address.
I wouldn't go as far as saying it makes all other security obsolete, though. Instead, I think it represents the next layer of cybersecurity. In 2022 I was building an app and found Microsoft had hacked the firmware of my router. So I replaced all the equipment and next thing I know I have multiple of hidden Wi-Fi signals in my house running on 22mhz. It took me a minute to find them but when I did I had to spend another year learning about synthetic biology as everything I was doing in my house was being hacked, locally. If corporations can infiltrate your work without most people even knowing and bypass all the other layers of cyber security to keep stealing your work that's a major problem. The fact this was in 2022 and we still are not even grasping the problems this incurs is stunning to say the least. Self assembly technology and BCI are already in use so where is the talk of cyber security around it all.
I wouldn't believe this myself if I hadn't witnessed it first hand and studied up on it. The pictures and videos I have are the only thing that helped me keep studying up on it. Hard to believe it's where we are at in the cyber world and no one is talking about it.
